All students are assigned to a counseling team, which monitors the progress of each student on a regular basis. Each team is comprised of:

  • assistant principal
  • counselor
  • attendance clerk
  • bilingual liaison, as needed
 
This teaming of school personnel creates a smaller and more personal environment for our students.

The caseload for school counselors is 400:1. Students also receive services through outside agencies, including:

  • Child Protective Services
  • Homeless Emergency Runaway Effort
  • Migrant Education
  • Mini Corps
  • County Alcohol, Drug, Mental Health Services
  • Teen Parent Services
  • private practice psychologists
  • Parent Education Network
  • Children’s Home Society
  • American Indian Education Program
  • County Schools Speech Therapy and Communicatively Handicapped programs
